It was able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles but it was stuck on a looser rug with tassels, and needed to turn to get it out of the way. These are minor issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those who need a cleaning companion that does all of the above.

A few hundred dollars more than the S8 and this robot does a bang-up job of keeping my office spotless and also take on the corners of my tight apartment. It uses laser mapping and camera to create a 3D model of your home, so it knows what to avoid. And, unlike many vacuums with mopping capabilities, it has object/obstacle detection that is able to avoid things like dog toys and bowls (but not poop!).

Other fantastic features include a self emptying dustbin as well as a mop that's self-washing and adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops miss. You can also adjust the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.

Similar to the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping that can differentiate between laminate, carpets and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. Its photos are encrypted and aren't linked to your account.

It does a great job of vaccuming but isn't as effective at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes you clip to the bot's bottom, and it essentially drags them around your floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal that have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
